On Wednesday, I made my New York directorial debut when my amazing cast and crew delivered a knockout performance of “Secrets; Love” at the HERE Arts Center in SoHo for the Downtown Urban Theater Festival.
The entire experience was breathtaking and it was one of the greatest nights of my life! I got rave reviews from the audience – one woman was in tears after the show, another said she was captivated by Luz and Diego’s ever-evolving relationship and really cared about them and one of the festival organizers said we sold them the story! She even thought we were wearing mics, which was a huge compliment!
We celebrated with an awesome karaoke party at Radiostar in Manhattan, which was a great way to end such a wonderful evening!
I will miss my talented actors and crew members and hope to work with all of them again!
